Honors highlight Petersen’s outstanding work within O.C. Tanner and Utah’s greater legal landscape
Salt Lake City - April 15, 2022 - O.C. Tanner, the global leader in employee recognition and workplace culture, congratulates Kyle Petersen, senior counsel of privacy and product, for being named an honoree in Utah Business Magazine’s 2022 Corporate Counsel awards program. Earlier this month, Petersen was also named as a Utah Business Legal Elite for the second consecutive year.

Petersen initially joined O.C. Tanner as an outside private counsel before joining the company full time in 2020 and is responsible for implementing processes and contract changes that have streamlined the way the O.C. Tanner operates. Petersen has made a name for himself for his work on many of the company’s software as a service (SaaS) accounts, including some of the largest clients for O.C. Tanner. His work is integral to the organization's relationships with some of the world’s largest and most noteworthy companies, which include nearly a third of Fortune 100 organizations. In 2021 alone, Petersen had a hand in securing 100 new clients, with an average contract value of $3.5 million. Further, Petersen is the go-to attorney to join calls with large multinational clients to discuss all aspects of data privacy, storage, and deletion. In fact, Petersen negotiated privacy and data terms on approximately 250 contracts in 2021.
