The executive vice president of the O.C. Tanner Institute, he is the author of the New York Times bestselling author of Great Work and its companion Appreciate, as well as the founder of the O.C. Tanner Institute’s acclaimed annual Global Culture Report.

An audience favorite, David has spoken to thousands of business leaders across his career, and he contributes regularly to the Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and NPR, and Forbes. Born in England, raised in South Africa, and educated in the U.S. and Asia, he holds a BA in HR training and development and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Gary Beckstrand

Vice President

With 30 years of game-changing research, business development, and leadership expertise, Gary works with top organisations around the world to help them achieve lasting cultural impact. As a vice president at O.C. Tanner, Gary’s insights are sought after by multiple Fortune 100 companies, and he has spoken to tens of thousands of business leaders at events throughout his career.

In addition to coauthoring Appreciate: Celebrating People, Inspiring Greatness, Gary frequently features on inc.com, entreprenuer.com, and Forbes. Prior to joining O.C. Tanner, Gary held leadership positions at Frito-Lay, Kellogg’s, and Franklin-Covey. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as well as a BS in marketing from Brigham Young University.

Alexander Lovell, PhD

Director of Research and Assessment

A political sociologist with more than a decade’s worth of deep methodological, research, and practitioner experience, Alex conducts extensive research on workplace culture, employee experience, and assessment methodologies in his role as the Director of Research & Assessment for the O.C. Tanner Institute. He also curates the perspectives of more than 40,000 employees, revealing relevant workplace trends for the Institute’s annual Global Culture Report. 

Alex’s dynamic insights transform the cultures of numerous Fortune 100 and Global 2000 companies as he works to develop targeted culture assessment programs, predictive models, evaluation plans, and listening strategies that help people thrive at work. He has a PhD from the University of Utah along with undergraduate and graduate degrees from American Military University.

Tiffany Noble

Director of Education

As the director of education for the O.C. Tanner Institute, Tiffany Noble oversees a team of instructional designers, creative professionals, and writers in the design, development, and delivery of client-facing learning products. A professional with over 20 years of experience in services consulting, leadership development, and learning solutions, she works with clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, healthcare, technology, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and government.

In her role with the Institute, Tiffany provides management and expertise supporting the full product-development lifecycle from ideation and research through implementation and account management. She has an MA and BA from Brigham Young University.

Meghan Stettler

Director

As a trusted voice for the O.C. Tanner Institute, most recently via its groundbreaking COVID-19 weekly webinars, Meghan specialises in knitting together key sentiments and perspectives across the table to identify win-win strategies for workplace culture success. Throughout her career, she has forged diplomatic partnerships with countries and companies in the Middle East, the Americas, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific regions, interfacing with CEOs, energy secretaries, ambassadors, and governors. She has also addressed over a million viewers as an award-winning journalist and producer with Al Jazeera, News 12 New York, and Network News Service, a pioneering organisation serving ABC, CBS, and FOX.

Meghan was recently named to the HRD Global 100, a list of the best and brightest industry leaders in HR. She holds an MA from the University of Southern California, a dual BFA from Brigham Young University, and executive certificates in global business from New York University and Salt Lake Community College.
